1. Create your family account

Head to the signup page, enter your email and create a password. You'll get 500 free tokens at signup — no credit card required for your first month of use.

2. Add your children

From the parent dashboard, add each child with a name and a secret 4-digit PIN. Each child gets their own dashboard, wallet, and streak tracker.

3. Create chores

Set up daily or weekly chores, assign them to specific children, and set a value for each chore. You can also create bonus chores for one-off tasks or post chores to the bid board for auction.

4. Kids complete chores, you approve

Kids log in with their PIN, tick off completed chores, and submit them for approval. You review and approve — funds are instantly credited to their wallet.

Daily vs Weekly chores

Daily chores regenerate every day. Perfect for routines like "Make your bed" or "Wash the dishes."
Weekly chores appear once per week. You can assign specific days (e.g. Jake does bins on Tuesday, Lily on Thursday) or leave them open for first-come-first-served completion.

Bonus chores

One-off tasks assigned to a single child with a "BONUS" badge. Great for rewarding extra effort or handling unexpected jobs.

Task lifecycle

Tasks move through a clear workflow: pending → completed → approved → paid. If a chore isn't done right, you can reject it and send it back with a reason.

Adding children

From the parent dashboard, click "Add Child." Give them a name and a 4-digit PIN they'll use to log in. You can add up to 6 children on the Family Plan.

Child PINs

Each child gets their own secret PIN. They use this to log in from any device. If they forget it, you can reset it from the parent dashboard.

Child dashboard

Kids see their chores for today/tomorrow/this week, their wallet balance, streak progress, achievements, and savings goals. They can choose from 16 avatars and 8 accent colors to personalise their experience.

How the wallet works

Each child has two balances: Spendable (money they can use now) and Savings(money set aside and growing at your chosen practice rate). When you approve a completed chore, the value is added to their spendable balance.

Bulk payout

Run a bulk payout to convert all approved tasks for the current week into paid status. This is a quick way to process payday for multiple children at once.

Multi-currency support

Chores supports 17 currencies including USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, and more. Set your preferred currency in the parent dashboard settings.

How bidding works

Parents post a chore to the bid board with a starting value. Kids bid lower — the lowest bidder wins the chore. This teaches negotiation, competitive thinking, and the value of work in a fun, engaging way.

Bid rules

Bids must be lower than the current lowest bid. There's a minimum floor to prevent ridiculously low bids. Once a bid is accepted, the chore is assigned to that child and paid at their bid price upon completion.

Setting money aside

Kids can move part of their spendable balance into savings, where it grows at a practice rate you set (default 5%, adjustable from 0–100%). Growth is applied daily so they can watch saving pay off over time — the maths lesson, without real money.

Savings hold period

Savings are held for 30 days to encourage long-term thinking. After that, kids can move their savings back to spendable at any time.

Growth projections

An interactive chart shows projected growth over 1 month to 3 years, helping kids visualise the power of savings growth and long-term saving.

Family leaderboard

Children are ranked by total saved (spendable + savings). The top 3 earn gold, silver, and bronze medals. Healthy competition keeps kids motivated.

10 unlockable achievements

Kids unlock achievements as they hit milestones. Each achievement triggers a celebration popup with confetti and sound effects.

Streak tracking

Three streak tiers reward consistency: 3-day "On Fire" 🌟, 7-day "Unstoppable" ⚡, and 14-day "Legendary" 💥. Missing a day resets the streak — encouraging daily participation.

Issuing fines

Parents can issue fines for poor behaviour. Fines deduct from the spendable balance first, with a maximum 50% taken from savings — protecting long-term savings.

Fine forgiveness

Made a mistake? You can forgive individual fines or refund all fines for a child at once. Forgiveness is a great teaching tool for second chances.
